Stylish slider? Check. 5Mp Camera? Check. Touch Screen UI? Check.
The Tocco and the N97 are Nokia and Samsung’s the two super smart phones.
Nokia went as far as to call the it the “ultimate portable computer” and Sony Ericsson said their Samsung Tocco Ultra was the “ultimate touch screen for the mobile person”.
But which one should you be spending your money on? We lined them up to compare the stats.
The high resolution wide TFT, LCD display makes navigation easier on the Tooco and it only weighs 106 grams so it’s easy to carry around and fit in your pocket.

With its black coated shell and shiny interior, the Tocco is the sexier of the two phones. It fully supports email, SMS, instant messaging, and large file web downloads and is HTML compatible so browsing won’t be slow or jittery either.
The 8 mega pixel camera with dual power LED flash with an integrated smile shot feature means that you’ll also get quality pictures with every shot you take aswell.
The Nokia N97 has managed to carve out an enviable spot out for itself in the crowded N-Series market.

The phone’s full-size slide out QWERTY keyboard makes sending emails and texting speedier and easier. It’s particularly popular with business users who have to write out long emails . This is also helped by the fact that the screen can turn to horizontal mode after a swift shake of the handset.
The 5 megapixel camera is smaller than the Tocco’s 8. But this is made up for with a massive 32 GB of storage, double that of any other mobile handset available. The storage space jumps up another 16 GB when you add in the phone’s micro SD ,to a whopping 48GB. It really is that portable computer that Nokia keep mentioning. It also has a stand time of 430 hours.
With dimensions of 52 x 110 x 13 mm, the Tocco is just that little bit shorter and thinner than the N97 (55 x 117 x 13 mm). But there is something in having a phone that’s just a little big bigger and sturdier.
They say bigger is better, after all.
