If the latest news from the San Francisco Game Developers Conference is to be believed, the Nokia Ovi store will be opening its digital doors in May and at the same time rolling out to 9 other countries in Europe.
Unlike the Android Store and Apple’s App Store, publishers can set their own prices in the Nokia store. Publishers can also get as much as 70% return on all the sales they make
The Ovi store will have a social element to it with users being able to upload their content onto the site. It’s still unclear whether they’ll be able to charge without being classified as publishers.
Users will be able to share links to download with their friends and track anything they want to share.
With theN97 due to hit stores in May, it’s an exciting time for Nokia.
